Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Administrative Assistant III to support the Ambulatory Float Pool. This role involves rotating assignments across short-staffed clinics, typically 60 to 90 days, providing exposure to multiple ambulatory specialties and opportunities to enhance administrative and clinical coordination skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Responsibilities

• Answers and screens telephone calls, takes messages, and directs calls.
• Updates patient demographic and insurance information and obtains referrals for all appointments.
• Schedules patient appointments and coordinates ancillary appointments with staff.
• Maintains physician's administrative and clinical calendars and types/crafts routine correspondence.
• Queuing prescriptions for renewal and reviewing medication listings in the electronic medical record (Web OMR).
