Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support front-line clinical operations in a busy ambulatory setting. You will greet patients, collect vital signs, perform procedures such as injections, EKGs and phlebotomy, and assist providers so care flows efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Asst. II serves as a role model, providing support and training to other staff.
• Identifies and resolves OSHA compliance issues and maintains point of care testing.
• Greets patients, obtains information and communicates with providers.
• Obtains vitals, performs EKGs, injections and/or phlebotomy, and assists providers.
• Assembles medical records and handles patient information according to guidelines.
