Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Endoscopy (PRN-Pool) in Scottsdale, AZ. You will develop perioperative care plans, protect patients, and administer medications with safety. The role requires GI/OR experience, current RN licensure, and adherence to sterile technique within a collaborative team setting.

You will participate in continuous improvement, hand-off reporting, and patient advocacy while maintaining competencies and contributing to excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• PALS course is required when pediatric care is included within the scope of services.
• GI Nursing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care by implementing the plan of care.
• Protect the patient from injury and ensure safety.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights of administration.
• Maintain endoscopy instruments and accessories in working order.
• Provide hand-off reports to other teammates accurately and concisely.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan patient care.
• Practice aseptic technique and infection prevention.
• Pursue professional growth and maintain required competencies.
