Job summary

61st Street Service Corporation is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the patient care team across ambulatory settings. You will work closely with providers and staff to deliver a high-quality patient experience while supporting clinical operations.

The role requires CMA certification, BCLS/AED, and the ability to coordinate tasks across multiple specialties. A flexible schedule across practices is expected.

Qualifications

• CMA must be certified by a credentialing body.
• Current BCLS/AED certification required.
• OSHA disposal of biohazard waste knowledge preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple sites and teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, visitors, vendors, and staff.
• Prepare patients for visits including vital signs and documentation in EMR.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures as needed.
• Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care tests.
• Enter orders in Epic and notify clinicians of emergencies.
• Open sterile packages under supervision.
• Provide coverage across practices and flexible scheduling.
