Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join the General Internal Medicine ambulatory care team. The CMA will perform clinical and administrative duties, including patient intake, specimen collection, EKGs, vaccine administration, and coordination of care under supervision.

Ideal candidates will have CMA certification, current BLS, and strong skills in patient communication, documentation accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program; CMA certification preferred.
• Current CMA/CCMA/NRCMA certification required.
• BLS Healthcare certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient information and follow-up with clinical staff on changes.
• Assist with procedures and exams, set up supplies and support care delivery.
• Administer vaccines under supervision and ensure proper documentation.
• Document accurately in the EHR and coordinate care across the clinic.
