Job summary

South Central Primary Care Center Inc. seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to support primary care teams in an ambulatory setting. You will interview patients, record histories, measure vitals, collect specimens, and assist with exams under physician supervision.

The role requires an accredited medical assisting program, MA certification, BLS, and at least 2 years of outpatient experience. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Must hold current medical assistant certification.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient/ambulatory settings.
• BLS certification required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Excellent phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and record history and vitals.
• Collect, document, and report CLIA waived tests.
• Collect and document specimens (blood, urine, stool, sputum).
• Assist with examinations and procedures; prepare rooms and instruments.
