Job summary

Children's Health in Dallas, TX seeks an Ambulatory Services Representative to manage scheduling, registration and financial process initiation for out-patient appointments within ambulatory clinics. The role emphasizes delivering excellent customer service, collecting accurate demographic and insurance information, and ensuring correct data for the financial system.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service or outpatient-related scheduling experience.
• Proven ability to gather accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Familiarity with iCARE customer service standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive appointment requests and schedule patients in ambulatory clinics.
• Identify or create Medical Record Numbers (MRN).
• Collect demographic and insurance information accurately.
• Determine network status, affordability, and need for financial counseling.
• Use Epic to manage queues and verify HAR/DAR data.
• Schedule multi-disciplinary visits and coordinate with providers.
• Handle co-pays and prepare patient packets for appointments.
• Support phone management for ambulatory clinics and train staff as needed.
