Qualifications

• Preference for BSN; ASN or Diploma with BSN completion within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the ambulatory setting based on the nursing process.
• Performs preliminary patient assessment through observation and chart review.
• Evaluates unstable/complex patient care situations and facilitates intervention.
• Implements clinical decisions and uses independent nursing judgment.
• Assesses and uses standards of care to guide care delivery.
• Updates daily care plans with appropriate algorithms for safe patient handling.
• Uses documentation and communication systems for patient care.
• Educates patients and families; identifies teaching needs and documents outcomes.
• Mentors new employees and supports professional development.
• Promotes teamwork, manages conflicts, and supports unit mission and values.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
