Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is seeking a Clinical Assistant 2 in Juneau, AK, to assist with a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks in a rural ambulatory care setting. You will perform essential duties beyond the level 1, including vital signs, medical history reviews, and supporting procedures and POCT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification is required; higher-level CMA certification considered with 1-year to obtain.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Clinical Competency completed within 3 months of hire and every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform Clinical Assistant 1 duties with additional competency tasks.
• Obtain and record vital signs and medical history updates.
• Prepare for patient visits and assist with procedures and minor surgeries.
• Provide Point of Care Testing and collect specimens.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment; ensure safety and infection control.
• Assist with patient transport, documentation, and education as directed.
