UMass Memorial Health in Leominster, MA is seeking an Ambulatory Services Representative for a per diem, part-time on-site role. The position supports patient access, demographic verification and financial counseling, coordinating with care teams to ensure smooth visits.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, confirming insurance details, handling co-pays, obtaining consent signatures, and directing patients to needed services.

Formación

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 years of related experience; waived if degree.
• Ability to use specialized applications software and computer systems.
• Multitasking and ability to work under stressful situations.
• Excellent communication and human relations skills.
• Knowledge of business office procedures and medical terminology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greets visitors and/or patients for scheduled and/or urgent care appointments.
• Confirms and verifies patient demographic and insurance information.
• May collect co-payments from patients upon arrival.
• Obtains signatures of consent from patient/guardian for treatment authorization and insurance/billing information.
• Assess patients’ needs, including financial counseling, interpreter services, social services and refers to appropriate person or area.
