Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for its ambulatory Hemostasis and Thrombosis program. You will support clinical pharmacists in anticoagulation management, education, and patient encounters within the clinic setting, maintaining charts in the EHR and ensuring accurate INR documentation.

Six months of licensed technician experience is required, with a high school diploma. A state license (CPhT preferred) is expected, and the position offers comprehensive MaineHealth benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current or eligible for applicable state license as a Pharmacy Technician; Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
• Six months of experience as a licensed pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Assists clinical pharmacists with anticoagulation care within the clinic.
• Provides healthcare education and follows clinic protocols.
• Prepares and maintains patient charts in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Ensures proper documentation of INR results and patient contact.
• Triages phone calls and refers to appropriate providers.
• Assists with processing prescription claims and patient affordability details.
• Provides direct patient care and specimen collection within Maine laws.
• Maintains a clean work environment and follows MaineHealth safety standards.
