Job summary

A healthcare organization in Portland, Maine is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for evening shifts. The successful candidate will support the Pharmacist with medication preparation and storage while performing clerical tasks. This position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus, and applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare-related position preferred.
• Current or eligible for state license as a Pharmacy Technician.
• CPhT or PTCB certificate preferred.

• Prepare, store, and distribute medications under Pharmacist supervision.

Current MaineHealth employees not eligible for the sign on bonus. Must be separated from MaineHealth system for 6 months to be eligible.

Summary

Evening Shift

Working in a supportive role under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician - Acute Care role performs a variety of duties relating to medication preparation, storage, distribution, disposition, and related clerical tasks.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High school diploma or GED certificate preferred. Associate's Degree preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician. CPhT or PTCB certificate preferred.
• Experience: Experience as a pharmacy technician or other healthcare related position preferred.
