Job summary

Reser's Fine Foods in Topeka, KS is seeking a Food Quality Assurance Technician for the pre-op shift (3:30 am – 12 pm). The role monitors key process controls, documents issues, and supports corrective actions to ensure the integrity of our products.

You will perform pre-operational inspections, verify critical control points per HACCP and Quality Plans, maintain records, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced food production environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a science-related field or 1+ years in QA.
• Basic understanding of GMPs and food safety requirements.
• English literacy for safety documentation and labels.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel).
• Regular attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor key process control points during production operations.
• Document and report food safety or quality issues and initiate corrective actions.
• Assist with pre-operational inspection of production plant and equipment.
• Perform process verification checks at critical food safety points.
• Verify environment conditions and temperatures throughout the facility.
• Complete Hold Tags and Cooling Tags to isolate non-conforming ingredients.
• Maintain records and documentation per protocols.
• Adhere to HACCP, GMP, sanitation, and QA programs.
• Train in HACCP and follow approved HACCP plans.
