Job summary

Reser's Fine Foods in Topeka, KS is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to monitor process control points, document food safety issues and support corrective actions per the Plant's Food Safety Plan. You will perform pre-operational checks, verify CCPs, maintain quality records, and help ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP and sanitation standards.

Strong English communication and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a science related field or 1+ years in QA
• Basic knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety, and Safety requirements
• Ability to read, write and speak English at a level of proficiency to clearly understand food safety docs
• Basic computer skills such as e-mail, Word, and Excel
• Regular attendance and punctuality are required

Responsibilities

• Documents and reports any food safety or quality issues and participates in determination of corrective actions to be taken
• May assist with pre-operational inspection of production plant and equipment and related documentation
• Performs process verification checks at critical food safety and quality points according to the facility's Food Safety Plan and Quality Plan
• Participates in determination of corrective actions when verification checks do not meet the limits defined in the facility's Food Safety Plan and Quality Plan
• Verifies the facility's environment including temperature, sanitizer concentrations and other food safety conditions
• Maintains records and completes documentation following proper protocols
• Adheres to HACCP, GMPs, foreign material control, sanitation and product quality assurance programs
