Job summary

Staples is seeking a Senior Manager Marketplace to shape growth and performance of the Amazon Marketplace business. You will analyze revenue, profitability, and customer metrics while steering strategy across pricing, assortment, and fulfillment to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with Pricing, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Catalog/Content to drive initiatives, mentor teammates, and present recommendations to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, or analytics.
• 8+ years in eCommerce or marketplace management with P&L exposure.
• 3+ years managing complex marketplace businesses and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with Amazon Marketplace operations and Buy Box mechanics.
• Advanced Excel modeling and BI/reporting proficiency.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across pricing, merchandising, marketing, supply chain, or finance.

Responsibilities

• Drive marketplace financial and operating performance with revenue, margin, EBITDA analyses and actions.
• Develop growth strategies across assortment, pricing, promotions, and brand penetration.
• Evaluate demand trends, competition, Buy Box dynamics, and cost-to-serve to identify opportunities.
• Build financial models, dashboards, and analyses to evaluate strategic options and trade-offs.
• Assess fulfillment models (FBA, SFP, FBM) and guide channel strategy and resource allocation.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with objective ownership, timelines, and success measures.
• Translate analytics into decision-oriented recommendations for senior leadership.
• Mentor teammates and align stakeholders with differing priorities.
