Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. is seeking an Assembly Operator in Monroe, GA for the D shift (AM shift, Monday through Thursday, 10 hours/day). You will load and assemble components, inspect dimensions, and support continuous improvement within a safe manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, manufacturing experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role requires basic math, reading/writing skills, and good dexterity and vision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a team to meet production goals.
• Able to read and write to follow work orders.
• Basic math skills required.
• Manual dexterity to operate machines.
• Good visual acuity (corrected preferred) for reading instructions and inspection.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Operate according to operator instruction sheets and/or verbal instructions to effectively perform operations.
• Check products and/or component dimensions with indicators and gauges as described in procedures or work instructions.
• Change simple parts and fixtures to facilitate changeover of product types.
• Visually and manually check for defects in product or workmanship.
• Input data daily to maintain charts and reports to support manufacturing, engineering, quality, material control, and sales.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area utilizing the 5S policy in all aspects of processes, procedures and daily activities.
• In all processes and functions, comply with work instructions and procedures to ensure manufacture of products, which conform to TS16949 and ISO14000 and customer quality standards.
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs.
