Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking an Assembly Operator to support D shift and AM shift operations, Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day. The role involves following instructions, inspecting components, changeovers, and maintaining quality in a plant environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, manufacturing experience, and the ability to work in a team to meet production goals. Safety gear and strict procedures are part of daily work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, especially electronic/mechanical assembly or high speed equipment operation.
• Ability to work in a team to hit production targets (cycle time, takt time, scrap).
• Reading and writing ability to follow work orders and prepare simple reports.
• Basic math skills.
• Manual dexterity to operate machines.
• Visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions and inspect parts.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Follow operator instruction sheets and verbal instructions to perform operations.
• Check product and component dimensions with indicators and gauges per procedures.
• Change simple parts and fixtures for product type changeovers.
• Visually and manually inspect for defects in product or workmanship.
• Input daily data to maintain charts and reports for manufacturing, engineering, quality, material control, and sales.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area per the 5S policy.
• Comply with work instructions to ensure products meet TS16949 and ISO14000 standards.
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs.
• Communicate machine issues to support staff and co-workers.
