Job summary

Astemo Americas, Inc. is seeking an Assembly Operator to perform manufacturing operations on the shop floor at our Georgia facility. You will follow operator instructions, check dimensions, and change fixtures to support different product types.

The role requires basic math, reading/writing ability, and physical endurance to lift up to 40 pounds. Teamwork and careful adherence to TS16949/ISO14000 quality standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred in electronic/mechanical assembly or high-speed equipment operation.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and prepare simple production reports.

Responsibilities

• Follow operator instruction sheets and verbal instructions to perform operations.
• Check products and component dimensions using indicators and gauges as described in procedures or work instructions.
• Change simple parts and fixtures to facilitate changeover of product types.
• Visually and manually check for defects in product or workmanship.
• Input data daily to maintain charts and reports for manufacturing, engineering, quality, material control, and sales.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area using the 5S policy in all processes.
• Comply with work instructions and procedures to ensure products conform to quality standards (TS16949/ISO14000).
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs.
• Communicate machine issues and failures with support staff and coworkers.
