Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking a manufacturing operator for the E shift, PM shift Monday through Thursday with 10 hours per day. The role requires basic math, reading/writing ability, and manual dexterity to operate and inspect electronic/mechanical equipment.

Candidates should be able to work in a team to meet production goals and maintain quality standards. Responsibilities include following instructions, part/changeover activities, defect inspections, data entry for metrics, and

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred, especially with electronic/mechanical assembly or high-speed equipment.
Ability to work in a team to meet production goals and metrics like cycle time and scrap rates.
Basic reading/writing ability to follow work orders and produce simple reports.
Sufficient manual dexterity and vision to operate and inspect machinery.

Responsibilities

Follow operator instruction sheets or verbal instructions to perform operations.
Check product dimensions using gauges and indicators per procedures.
Change simple parts/fixtures to enable changeover of product types.
Visually and manually inspect for defects in products and workmanship.
Input data daily to maintain charts and reports for manufacturing metrics.
Maintain clean, organized work area and adhere to 5S principles.
Comply with work instructions to meet quality standards (TS16949, ISO14000).
Suggest and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Report machine issues and failures to support staff.
