Job summary

The Ridge at Castle Pines in Castle Rock, CO is seeking a full-time AM Prep Cook for a seasonal role lasting up to six months. You will follow recipes, monitor product freshness, and prepare equipment for cooking while maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities include proper food handling, inventory, cleaning, and readiness to take on additional duties as directed by the Department Manager. This position is part of Troon’s hospitality team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 months related kitchen experience preferred.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Training required or preferred.

• Follow recipes and directions for proper food preparation.
• Monitor freshness and quality of all products.
• Prepare equipment and operate kitchen utensils for cooking tasks.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking and temperature checks.
• Receive and inventory food and beverage products and supplies.
• Clean and sanitize the work station and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less).

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Essential Duties:

• Follows recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation
• Maintains quality control for all products, including monitoring the freshness of the product daily
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart
• Prepares appropriate equipment for cooking
• Operates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling, and kneading of food products
• Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking the temperature of products
• Receives and inventories food and beverage products and supplies
• Cleans and sanitizes the work station and equipment
• Ability to perform any other duties as assigned by the Department Manager

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes, and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.

Environment/Noise:

Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather. Noise level is moderate.
