Job summary

The Ridge at Castle Pines in Castle Rock, CO is hiring for a Full-Time AM Prep Cook for a seasonal position lasting up to 6 months. As part of Troon, you will follow recipes, maintain quality, prep equipment, and ensure proper food handling while contributing to a fast-paced kitchen environment.

This role requires basic food preparation skills, ability to lift up to 50–100 pounds, and adherence to safety standards. A GED or high school diploma is acceptable, with food safety training preferred.

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less).

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Follows recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation
• Maintains quality control for all products, including monitoring the freshness of the product daily
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart
• Prepares appropriate equipment for cooking
• Operates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling, and kneading of food products
• Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking the temperature of products
• Receives and inventories food and beverage products and supplies
• Cleans and sanitizes the work station and equipment
• Ability to perform any other duties as assigned by the Department Manager

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes, and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.

Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather. Noise level is moderate.
