Job summary

Intown Golf Club in Houston is seeking a line cook to join our private club kitchen, upholding the club’s service standards and passion for quality.

You will execute recipes across breakfast prep, sauté, and grill stations, maintain cleanliness and food safety, and communicate effectively with the expeditor and team. This role includes paid time off and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Follow state and county food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Thorough station set-up, breakdown, and line checks.
• Execute cooking responsibilities for line shifts across prep, breakfast and eggs, saute, and grill stations.
• Uphold Intown Golf Club standards of quality and freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the food prep and service areas.
• Identify and solve any problems related to food quality and guest satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with expediter and team during the shift.
• Participate in any tasks necessary for guest satisfaction.
• Resolves guest dissatisfaction or complaints with their dish.

Line Cook's General Responsibilities

• Have a thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, recipes, and preparation methods.
• Thorough station set-up, breakdown, and line checks.
• Execute all cooking responsibilities for line shifts, include consistent execution of recipes in the following areas:
• Prep
• Breakfast and eggs
• Saute Station
• Grill Station
• Uphold Intown Golf Club standards of quality and freshness.
• Maintain Intown Golf Club standards in the areas of cleanliness and organization.
• Know and follow all applicable State and County food safety and Health Department standards.
• Identifies and solves any problems related to food quality.
• Maintain effective communication with expediter and fellow employees throughout shift with regard to item availability, status of working orders and special circumstances.
• Assists all other employees, whenever possible, with any tasks necessary for effective guest focused restaurant operation.
• Performs any task deemed necessary by managers for complete guest satisfaction.
• Resolves any guest dissatisfaction or complaints with their dish.
• Expected to have honest, open communication with staff, managers and owners.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
