Job summary

Billerica Public Schools is seeking a long-term substitute paraprofessional for Dutile Elementary School in Billerica, MA. The role runs from late August to about October, with hours from 7:45am to 11:00am and pay at $15 per hour.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, providing direct instruction, supporting individual or small groups, supervising unstructured times, and assisting teachers with plans and data collection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred.
• CORI & Fingerprint clearance required.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instructional material and learning activities in assigned classroom.
• Provide direct instruction to groups of students or individuals in or out of the classroom.
• Assist with data collection and collaboration with teachers.
• Supervise recess and lunch as assigned.
• Assist with escorting children to and from vehicles during drop-off or pick-up where applicable.
• Assist students in using technology.
• Follow lesson plans when the classroom teacher is absent.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs independently.
• Participation in toileting activities as required.
• Provide other related duties assigned by principal/teacher.
