Job summary

Job Description

This is a long-term substitute position only and the duration is until approximately October 9, 2026 and pays $15 hr. The hours are from 7:45am-11:00am.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare instructional material and learning activities in assigned classroom.
• Provide direct instruction to groups of students or individuals in or out of the classroom.
• This may include:
• Implementation of individualized and small group instruction and discussions
• Accommodating and modifying materials to match students’ needs as prescribed by the teacher.
• Assist with the collection of student data.
• Consult with teachers on students’ progress and on specific strategies and methodologies to be used.
• Supervise unstructured time such as recess and/or lunch duty unless directed otherwise.
• Assist the teacher in clean-up.
• Assists with any other tasks students are not able to perform for themselves
• Depending on assignment, provide assistance in escorting children to and from vehicles during drop-off or pick-up.
• Assist students in using technology.
• Assist substitutes in following lesson plans when classroom teacher is absent
• Ability to lift 30lbs. independently
• Willingness to participate in toileting activities is required.
• Provide other related duties that the principal, assistant principal, Special Education Director, and/or teacher may assign
