Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items in an efficient and timely manner following proper food handling techniques.
• Follow recipes to control production and maintain consistency and freshness.
• Ensure flow of dishes with attention to portion control, quality, presentation and temperature.
• Break down and store all leftovers.
• Clean as you go and follow daily sanitation checklists.
• Maintain perishables at proper temperatures.
• Assist in prep work for the next shift.
• Assist with inventory and production charts.
• Put away stock using FIFO (first in, first out).
• Report items in need of repair.
• Follow all safety procedures while working.

Job Details: Job Location: Hyatt Centric Las Olas - Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Hospitality - Hotel, Overview: A Kolter Hospitality Cook uses innovation and delivers service excellence to our guests. This position is responsible for preparing quality food in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with proper food handling techniques.

Performance Expectations:

• Prepare all food items in an efficient and timely manner adhering to proper food handling techniques.
• Follow recipes to control production and maintain consistency and freshness.
• Ensure efficient flow of food dishes with an emphasis on portion control, quality, presentation and temperature control.
• Break down and store all leftover.
• Clean as you go and follow proper daily sanitation checklists.
• Maintain all perishables at the proper temperature.
• Assist in prep work as required for the next shift.
• Assist with inventory and production charts.
• Put away stock when necessary using FIFO (first in, first out)
• Report any items in need of repair.
• Follow all safety procedures while working.

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25lbs.
