More Than Words (MTW) is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Manager to organize and grow our volunteer program across Boston and the Waltham site. You will run 2–3 group volunteer events weekly, onboard 30–40 individuals, and maintain active volunteer communications while supporting fundraising and donor recognition.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and comfort with Salesforce. Schedule is typically Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend events, and MTW offers growth and

Qualifications

• MTW alumnus not currently in MTW case management.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Able to sit at a computer for long periods.
• Willing to work evenings/weekends.
• Experience supporting volunteers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Calendar management for all group volunteer events across MTW locations.
• Personally run 2–3 group volunteer events weekly.
• Onboard and communicate with 30–40 volunteers weekly.
• Maintain volunteer email accounts and respond promptly.
• Support fundraising by engaging groups to donate when appropriate.
• Maintain Salesforce records of volunteer activities.
• Coordinate background checks and onboarding for new volunteers to work on site.
• Collaborate with leadership to align schedules with site needs.
• Develop and implement volunteer appreciation initiatives.
• Support donation processing and donor recognition as needed.
