Job summary

NC State University’s College of Education seeks an Alumni Coordinator to foster lifelong connections with alumni, students, faculty, staff, donors and community partners. You will spearhead engagement initiatives, communications, and event programming while advancing strategic priorities across college programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of professional experience in alumni relations, higher education, advancement, communications, student engagement, event coordination, nonprofit engagement, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with diverse populations.
• Experience coordinating events, outreach programs, mentoring initiatives, or donor engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support alumni engagement communication initiatives to strengthen connections and affinity with the College of Education.
• Recruit and support alumni volunteers for mentorship programs, speaking engagements, networking initiatives, and events.
• Coordinate alumni events, continuing education activities, and donor stewardship activities in collaboration with university advancement.
• Maintain accurate alumni records, engagement tracking, and participation data to strengthen outreach and relationships.
• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure successful execution of engagement initiatives and programs.
• Assist with Day of Giving and other fundraising activities by coordinating student philanthropy and donor engagement efforts.
