Job summary

Duchesne High School seeks an energetic Alumni Relations and Engagement Officer to cultivate lifelong connections with the school's alumni and strengthen engagement across events, mentoring, and giving opportunities.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, detailed record-keeping, and collaboration with the Advancement Team to grow participation in fundraising initiatives while supporting Duchesne's mission and surrounding St. Charles community. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years in alumni relations, advancement, fundraising, communications, marketing, event planning, or related fields preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience with donor databases/CRM.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google.
• Experience with social media platforms and digital engagement.
• Familiarity with Catholic education and Duchesne High School mission.
• Knowledge of the Duchesne High School community and St. Charles area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy that strengthens relationships with alumni of all generations.
• Create meaningful opportunities for alumni to reconnect through events, networking, volunteer service, mentoring, and campus activities.
• Coordinate class reunions, alumni gatherings, homecoming activities, Hall of Fame events, and regional alumni events.
• Build strong relationships with alumni, listening to their interests and identifying opportunities for meaningful involvement.
• Recruit, train, and manage alumni volunteers and reunion committees.
• Maintain accurate alumni records and collaborate with the Advancement Database Administrator to ensure alumni information remains current.
• Work collaboratively with the Advancement Team to increase alumni participation in fundraising campaigns and special initiatives.
• Identify prospective leadership and major gifts.
• Assist with stewardship by recognizing and thanking alumni.
• Develop engaging alumni communications including newsletters, social media content, website stories, email campaigns, and print publications.
• Collect and share alumni success stories highlighting Duchesne education impact.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to promote alumni achievements and events.
• Plan and execute alumni events reflecting Duchesne traditions and spirit.
• Represent Duchesne at community and parish events, and assist with school-wide Advancement events.
