Job summary

Saks Global in New York is seeking an Alterations Manager to lead the Alterations Associates across our Saks Fifth Avenue Greenwich and Neiman Marcus Westchester locations. You will implement structured processes, drive results, and uphold our standards of excellence in luxury service.

The role requires 4 years of management experience, tailoring knowledge is a plus, and the ability to schedule evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree preferred.
• 3+ years of management experience with comparable volume or a proven track record of success managing operations workforce and achieving results.
• Fitting/tailoring experience in high-end or luxury merchandise setting is preferred, not required.
• Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments is preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of Alterations industry including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
• Proficiency in utilizing available technology, Word, Excel etc. is required.
• Must be flexible in scheduling as the business needs evening weekend and holiday schedules.

• Ad hoc responsibilities as needed

Under direction from the Assistant General Manager of Operations, the Alterations Manager is responsible for providing leadership and support to all of the Alterations Associates in our Saks Fifth Avenue Greenwich and our Neiman Marcus Westchester locations in order to provide outstanding service and meet the demands of the clients and selling organization.
