Job summary

Saks Global is hiring an Alterations Manager to lead the Alterations Associates across Saks Fifth Avenue Greenwich and Neiman Marcus Westchester locations. You will drive customer service excellence and oversee personnel, training, and policy compliance in a luxury environment.

Ideal candidates bring a 4-year degree and 3+ years of management experience in a high-end setting, with familiarity in alterations, fabrication, and styling. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree preferred.
• 3+ years of management experience with comparable volume.
• Fitting/tailoring experience in high-end or luxury merchandise setting is preferred, not required.
• Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments is preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of Alterations industry including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; scheduling flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Ad hoc responsibilities as needed

YOU WILL BE

Under direction from the Assistant General Manager of Operations, the Alterations Manager is responsible for providing leadership and support to all of the Alterations Associates in our Saks Fifth Avenue Greenwich and our Neiman Marcus Westchester locations in order to provide outstanding service and meet the demands of the clients and selling organization.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• 4 year degree preferred.
• 3+ years of management experience with comparable volume or a proven track record of success managing operations workforce and achieving results
• Fitting/tailoring experience in high-end or luxury merchandise setting is preferred, not required
• Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments is preferred, not required
• Knowledge of Alterations industry including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
• Proficiency in utilizing available technology, Word, Excel etc. is required. Must be flexible in scheduling as the business needs evening weekend and holiday schedules.
