Job summary

Canonical is seeking an Alliances Field Engineer to help partners adopt our open source stack, including Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes and AI/MLOps. You will engage OEMs, GSIs and ISVs, drive joint reference architectures, and promote cloud-native solutions worldwide.

The role is remote-first, travel up to 30%, and involves partnering with major cloud and hardware players to extend Canonical's reach globally.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux/Kubernetes/Ceph experience and automation skills.
• Experience designing solutions on public/private clouds.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Understand Ubuntu/Linux and cloud services in real-world environments.
• Architect and integrate cloud infra solutions (Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph) on-prem or in public cloud.
• Collaborate with partners to define joint GTM programs and validate architectures.
