Job summary

Paycom is seeking an Allergy Medical Assistant to join our growing practice in Spring, TX. You will escort patients, document medical history, and support care coordination while ensuring accurate visit records and a clear plan of care.

This role emphasizes patient education, injections/testing where needed, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms. A welcoming, team-based environment supports growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year medical field experience preferred but not required.
• Medical assistant certification is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms.
• Document patient medical history and pertinent information.
• Ensure accurate reflection of encounter and plan of care.
• May assist with injections, PFTs, patient education, and triage under provider supervision.
• Schedule allergy testing and immunotherapy.
• Perform allergy and penicillin testing, write prescriptions, administer injections.
• Sterilize, restock, and maintain exam rooms and instruments.

Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to the exam room
• Provide and coordinate efficient patient care while documenting the patient’s medical history and any other pertinent information related to their visit.
• Ensure all documentation accurately reflects the patient encounter and plan of care. Attention to detail is a must.
• Some areas of the practice require the ability to give injections, perform PFTs, provide basic patient education, and triage patient calls under the direction of the provider.
• Schedule allergy testing/Immunotherapy
• Perform allergy and penicillin testing, write recipes, administer injections
• Sterilize, maintain and restock exam rooms and instruments

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service and computer skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Friendly, personable demeanor
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task
• A minimum experience of one year experience in the medical field is preferred but not required.
• Medical assistant certification is a plus, but not required.
