Job summary

Michigan ENT & Allergy is seeking an Allergy Medical Assistant to join our established practice, serving the community for many years. You will escort patients to exam rooms, document medical histories, and coordinate efficient patient care in a friendly, team‑oriented setting.

Responsibilities include injections, PFTs, patient education, triaging calls under the provider, scheduling testing/immunotherapy, and keeping exam rooms sterile and stocked.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year experience in medical field preferred.
  • Medical assistant certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent customer service and computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Friendly, personable demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to the exam room.
  • Provide and coordinate efficient patient care while documenting the patient’s medical history and other pertinent information related to their visit.
  • Ensure all documentation accurately reflects the patient encounter and plan of care.
  • Some areas require the ability to give injections, perform PFTs, provide basic patient education, and triage patient calls under the direction of the provider.
  • Schedule allergy testing/Immunotherapy.
  • Perform allergy and penicillin testing, write recipes, administer injections.
  • Sterilize, maintain and restock exam rooms and instruments.
