Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by documenting vital signs and histories.

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by supporting physicians and advanced practice providers with both clinical and administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical histories, medications, and allergies.
  • Assist physicians and providers during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Administer allergy injections and other medications as directed by providers and within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patients following allergy injections and recognize and respond appropriately to adverse reactions.
  • Perform allergy skin testing, spirometry, FeNO testing, and other diagnostic procedures as directed.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring appropriate supplies and equipment are stocked and sanitized.
  • Collect, label, and process laboratory specimens when applicable.
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, allergy avoidance strategies, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Document clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Coordinate prescription refills, prior authorizations, and specialty pharmacy communications.
  • Assist with patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, pharmacies, laboratories, and other healthcare providers.
  • Support inventory management by monitoring medical supplies and notifying leadership when reordering is needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
