Corpus Christi ENT Sinus and Allergy Clinic is seeking a dependable Allergy Injector / Medical Assistant to support our allergy department and clinical providers in a fast-paced ENT setting. The role involves preparing and administering injections, verifying patient identity and dosing, documenting in the EMR, taking vital signs, and supporting examinations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in allergy injections or ENT setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety awareness.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer allergy immunotherapy injections under provider protocol.
• Verify patient identity, allergy serum, and dosing prior to administration.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions post-injection.
• Document injections accurately in EMR system.
• Maintain allergy serum inventory and proper storage procedures.
• Follow clinic safety protocols for anaphylaxis response.
• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Collect and document patient medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and supply levels.
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as EKGs, suture removal, or ear cleaning (as trained).
• Schedule follow-up allergy appointments as needed.
• Communicate patient instructions and care plans clearly.

Position Summary

Corpus Christi ENT Sinus and Allergy Clinic is seeking a dependable Allergy Injector / Medical Assistant to support our allergy department and clinical providers. The ideal candidate will have experience with allergy testing and administering allergy immunotherapy injections, along with strong patient care and medical assisting skills. This role will assist with allergy services, provide compassionate patient care, and support the daily operations of a face paced ENT and allergy clinic.

Key Responsibilities

Allergy Injection Duties

• Prepare and administer allergy immunotherapy injections under provider protocol
• Verify patient identity, allergy serum, and dosing prior to administration
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions post-injection
• Document injections accurately in EMR system
• Maintain allergy serum inventory and proper storage procedures
• Follow clinic safety protocols for anaphylaxis response

Clinical / Medical Assistant Duties

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Collect and document patient medical histories
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and supply levels
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as EKGs, suture removal, or ear cleaning (as trained)
• Support patient flow and clinic efficiency Administrative Support
• Document all patient encounters accurately in EMR
• Schedule follow-up allergy appointments as needed
• Communicate patient instructions and care plans clearly
• Assist with clinical reporting or end-of-day tasks when required

Patient Care & Communication

• Educate patients on allergy injection schedules and expectations
• Provide compassionate and professional patient interaction
• Address patient questions or elevate concerns to clinical staff
• Ensure a safe and positive patient experience

Qualifications
