Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Boulder, CO is seeking an Algorithms Software Engineer – Level 3 or 4 for IRAD work. You will design, develop, test, and document software and complex algorithms for missile tracking systems, using Modern C++ and Python in a fast-paced research environment.

Expect cross-disciplinary collaboration, strong emphasis on data analysis, and state estimation. A Secret clearance is required to start, with travel up to 10% to support business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with related experience.
• Experience with Python and/or C++ for software development.
• Linux experience and familiarity with common UNIX utilities.
• Experience with state estimation and algorithm design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document and debug software and complex mathematical algorithms.
• Develop tracking and state estimation algorithms for missile tracking applications.
• Prototype and tool development using Modern C++ and Python.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams and communicate findings clearly.
