Job summary

STG Inc. in Alaska is seeking a Tower Technician II for on-site work across remote locations. You will perform advanced telecommunications tower construction, microwave installation, and related civil tasks with safety as a priority.

Reporting to the Project Foreman and Project Manager, you will climb towers up to 300 feet, install and align antennas, read blueprints, and mentor junior crew members while traveling frequently in harsh Arctic conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five+ years of construction experience with at least three years in tower erection in rural Arctic environments.
• Tower Safety and Rescue Certification required within 3 months of hire; Rigging certification required within 6 months.
• CDL required within 12 months of hire; valid driver's license per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform tower erection up to 300 feet and install/align microwave antennas.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Maintain safety standards and use fall protection and rigging equipment.
• Travel to remote project locations in Alaska with a flexible schedule.
• Mentor less experienced crew members and assist with coordination with multiple trades.
• Complete necessary project paperwork and ensure adherence to project timelines.
