Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is hiring a Tower Technician II in Anchorage, AK to install, maintain, and operate telecom equipment across wired, wireless, fiber, and microwave networks. You will climb towers, assemble monopoles, and mentor junior staff while upholding safety standards.

We seek hands-on problem solvers with at least 2 years of tower experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work up to 12 hours. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

• You must have the ability to climb towers, be able to pick up 50 lbs., and be capable of working up to 12 hours.
• You must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company's policy conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber, and microwave telecom equipment.
• Climb towers and ladders at various heights.
• Offload material and inventory.
• Prepare and clean sites.
• Install carriers on new build and existing towers.
• Assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles.
• Mentor new technicians.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
