Job summary

Mackay Marine in Dutch Harbor, AK is seeking an experienced Store/Office Manager to oversee daily depot operations, inventory control, purchasing, and front‑line customer support. You will manage documentation, orders, and staff in a small team environment while aligning with Service Supervisor and regional objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of inventory control and/or stockroom experience preferred.
• 3+ sales experience.
• 3+ years in same/similar role.
• Must possess a desire to be part of a small team and interest in working with everyone in the local fishing community and in the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a car and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Always follow Mackay’s policies and procedures.
• Respond quickly and promptly to requests by Corporate Accounting, HR, IT, IS, and Corporate Executives.
• Overall responsibility for the daily operation and administration of the Dutch Harbor depot.
• Maintain administrative control of service documentation, customer information, purchase orders, work-order support, and other depot records.
• Supervise and support personnel and ensure assigned responsibilities, documentation, and deadlines are completed.
• Maintain oversight of inventory accuracy, shipping & receiving, cycle counts, consigned inventory, and inventory-control processes.
• Coordinate purchasing and parts requirements with ERP usage history and create order requests using regional purchasing resources.
• Monitor active open administrative and operational items and ensure they are followed through to completion.
• Coordinate depot facility, fleet vehicle, customer, logistics, and general operational needs.
• Support customer communication and local sales/service activity as needed.
• Work closely with the Service Supervisor while maintaining separate responsibility for the overall office/store operation.
• Provide local management presence and serve as the primary onsite point of escalation for general depot matters.
• Support Corporate objectives, Regional Manager initiatives, reporting, and operational standards.
