Job summary

Denali Universal Services (DUS) seeks a dependable Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team at a remote camp on Alaska's North Slope. Prepare and serve breakfast items, follow HACCP standards, and assist with inventory and staff supervision to ensure a safe, efficient kitchen operation.

The ideal candidate has experience in high-volume food production, is committed to food safety, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented remote camp environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of experience in high-volume food production.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Able to speak, read, understand and write English.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (drug test, criminal background check).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all breakfast meals using standardized ingredients and menu cycles.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and quality standards during prep and service.
• Follow HACCP principles and safety procedures for safe handling.
• Monitor food production to minimize waste and meet client expectations.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all kitchen areas and equipment.
• Rotate and store food properly according to safety standards.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and stock rotation as directed.
• Support catering events and client requests as needed.
• Train and supervise assigned kitchen staff when required.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE.
• Be adaptable to changing camp populations and site requirements.
