This role acts as a technical bridge between business stakeholders, marketing teams, AJO, and email/content platforms such as Knak, working directly in email HTML to create conditional content and dynamic experiences.

Job Description

We are seeking a hands‑on AJO Email & Personalization Technical Consultant with strong experience in email development, advanced personalization, and complex journey orchestration. This role will serve as an escalation point and technical bridge between business stakeholders, marketing teams, AJO, and email/content platforms such as Knak. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly within email HTML, developing conditional and dynamic content, troubleshooting platform limitations, and determining technical solutions when standard AJO functionality or visual builders do not meet business requirements. This is not strictly a development role. The consultant will also participate in and lead stakeholder discussions, provide technical recommendations, lead proofs of concept, and translate complex technical concepts for broader audiences.

Skills and Requirements

• Build, configure, and troubleshoot emails and customer journeys in Adobe Journey Optimizer


• Work directly in HTML email code, modular content components, and reusable templates


• Develop advanced personalization, dynamic content, and conditional logic


• Troubleshoot platform limits, rendering issues, and edge cases when the standard AJO builder can't meet requirements, and find workarounds


• Map and integrate email content between Knak and AJO, translating creative into Knak‑compatible templates and AJO‑ready structures


• Manage AEP data models, schemas, identity resolution, and event‑driven triggers


• Support advanced scenarios like API integrations, third‑party messaging channels, real‑time personalization, and decisioning


• Serve as the technical owner in AJO, including fragments, templates, and updates as creative standards change


• Partner with marketing, business, dev, and platform teams as the technical bridge between them


• Lead discovery sessions and stakeholder meetings, giving technical recommendations


• Lead proofs of concept for new AJO capabilities, integrations, or personalization use cases


• Explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
