Job summary

C3EL is seeking a cleared Network Technician to support the DISA-provided GIG services at Scott AFB in Illinois. The role involves 24/7 operations within the GNSC AISR cell, incident analysis, fault isolation, and coordination with service providers to restore networks and meet SLAs.

Qualified candidates will hold an active DoD secret clearance, 2+ years of relevant experience, and DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification. Shift work and a broad Cisco/Juniper/DSN skill set are expected.

Qualifications

Active DoD Secret clearance required.
2+ years of relevant technical experience.
DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE) or equivalent.
Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment.
Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance or performance management.
Expertise with routers, switches, crypto devices and DSN/DRSN.
Understanding of transport and IP topologies.

Responsibilities

Create and update tickets.
Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time 24x7 across multiple tools.
Conduct incident correlation and fault analysis to identify root causes.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and isolate faulty network elements.
Replace faulty hardware and verify restoration of services.
Provide 24/7 sustainment support and communicate outages and resolutions.
Coordinate reroutes and document changes in CMDB; liaise with other providers as needed.
Assist in training Network controllers within O&M and share best practices.
