Job summary

Delaware River and Bay Authority in Wilmington, DE seeks an Airport Operations Coordinator/Specialist to support the Airport Operations Manager in ensuring FAA FAR Part 139 compliance and TSR 1540/1542/1544 adherence.

The role involves airfield and terminal inspections, training coordination, access control, incident response, and coordination with law enforcement and emergency services to maintain safe, secure operations.

Qualifications

• Requires two years of college-level courses in aviation or business-related fields.
• Experience in Airport Operations is preferred.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Willingness to work 24x7 shifts and outdoor exposure.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Airport Operations Manager in daily oversight of airfield and security operations.
• Provide TSA with compliance evidence for TSR 1542 upon request.
• Maintain and provide list of individuals with authorized unescorted access.
• Coordinate training via web-based systems and document accordingly.
• Administer fingerprinting and CHRC processes as required by TSR 1542.
• Issue and maintain airport identification media and related records.
• Inspect airfield facilities and terminal areas for safety, security, and efficiency.
• Coordinate with police, fire, EMS, and other personnel during incidents; return airport to normal operation.
