Job summary

CENTRAL W VA REGIONAL AIRPORT is seeking an Operations Specialist to monitor a wide range of airport operations and ensure compliance with FAA and TSA requirements. The role involves coordinating resources during incidents, managing security systems, and supporting emergency response using NIMS guidelines.

The position may require nights, weekends, and recall during emergencies. Must have strong knowledge of airport rules and proven documentation and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Local, State and Federal laws and regulations regarding airport operations and landside activities.
• Familiarity with the Yeager Airport Certification Manual and Airport Security Program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the airfield, terminal, facilities and personnel to ensure compliance with FAA, TSA and airport rules.
• Coordinate and mobilize resources to incidents, alarms, and issues.
• Generate daily Situational Awareness Briefs and SARs for security operations.
• Operate and monitor security cameras, access control systems and surveillance equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and assist incident command staff using NIMS as guidance.
• Assist with tenant coordination and customer service in parking and facility operations.
