Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services in Houston is seeking a Wheelchair Dispatcher to coordinate and manage the deployment of wheelchair services across airport terminals. You will schedule attendants, monitor flight schedules, and ensure timely mobility assistance for passengers with disabilities.

The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with ADA compliance and safety as priorities. Excellent communication and experience with wheelchair operations are essential.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• 1 year of wheelchair experience
• Ability to access information on electronic devices (IPads/Tablets, Computers, Mobile)
• Able to communicate with colleagues and clients (in-person or electronic)
• Eligible to acquire required credentials (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs)
• Willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the dispatch of wheelchair services across airport terminals
• Respond to wheelchair assistance requests from airline personnel and passengers
• Manage scheduling and routing of attendants for efficiency
• Track wheelchair availability and location of mobility equipment
• Maintain communication with airport staff and customers
• Ensure ADA and airport regulation compliance
• Provide training on handling and safety protocols
• Monitor service quality and passenger satisfaction
• Handle passenger inquiries about wheelchair services
• Maintain records of dispatches and assistance
• Collaborate with security and medical teams in emergencies
• Oversee maintenance and readiness of equipment
• Develop procedures to improve service and response times
• Liaise with airlines and airport personnel to streamline operations
• Prepare reports on service metrics and improvements
• Uphold PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
