Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. seeks a Wheelchair Dispatcher to coordinate wheelchair services across airport terminals, scheduling attendants and ensuring prompt assistance for passengers with mobility needs.

You will monitor flight schedules, manage resources, and maintain clear communication with airline personnel, gate agents, and customers to deliver a safe, respectful, and efficient service. Prior wheelchair experience and flexibility to work varied shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• 1 year of wheelchair experience
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
• Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the dispatch of wheelchair services throughout the airport terminals
• Respond promptly to requests for wheelchair assistance from airline personnel and passengers
• Manage the scheduling and routing of wheelchair attendants to maximize efficiency
• Track the availability and location of wheelchairs and mobility equipment
• Maintain clear communication with airport staff, including gate agents and customer service representatives
• Ensure compliance with ADA guidelines and airport regulations
• Provide training and guidance to wheelchair attendants on proper handling and safety protocols
• Monitor service quality and passenger satisfaction regarding wheelchair assistance
• Handle passenger inquiries and concerns related to wheelchair services
• Maintain records and logs of wheelchair dispatches and assistance provided
• Collaborate with airport security and medical teams in case of emergencies
• Oversee the maintenance and readiness of wheelchair equipment
• Develop and implement procedures to improve service delivery and response times
• Liaise with airline and airport personnel to streamline wheelchair service operations
• Prepare reports on service metrics, challenges, and improvements for management review
• Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
