Job summary

Bags, a Metropolis company, is hiring a Skycap to greet passengers at curbside on airport property, assist with luggage, check-in and boarding passes, and collect baggage fees.

The role requires early morning shifts, ability to work outside in all weather, airline compliance training, weekend and holiday availability, and strong customer service. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and pass background and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in the early morning rotation
• At least 6 months experience in a face-to-face guest service position preferred
• Data Entry and/or computer experience preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and clients
• Ability to work in outside weather conditions required
• Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must successfully pass the pre-employment criminal background screening.
• Must pass pre-employment Drug Testing process.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly at the desk and assist with luggage check-in.
• Verify guest flight itinerary and number of bags; input guest information as needed.
• Process the check in of the guests’ bags; charge for bags; weigh luggage.
• Tag luggage; provide boarding passes and receipts to guests.
• Maintain a positive, friendly, professional desk presence and stock the workspace.
• Follow TSA and safety procedures; provide information to passengers and clients.
