Job summary

Culmen International seeks an experienced Airport Screening Operations Manager to lead daily passenger checkpoint and baggage screening operations at Tupelo, MS. You will supervise STSOs and shift supervisors, optimize staffing, and ensure TSA compliance while maintaining a strong passenger experience.

You will use operational data to monitor throughput, wait times, and security effectiveness, driving continuous improvement and coordinating with TSA and airport stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in aviation security or airport operations.
• Experience supervising large shift-based workforces.
• Strong scheduling and workforce deployment skills.
• Experience in a regulated security environment.
• Strong decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. National for TSA suitability.
• Onsite availability to support 24/7 airport operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily passenger checkpoint and checked-baggage screening operations.
• Manage STSOs and other operational supervisors, maintaining effective coverage across shifts.
• Develop and adjust operational schedules based on passenger volumes, flight schedules, staffing availability and screening requirements.
• Monitor wait times, throughput, staffing utilization, security effectiveness, and overall performance.
• Coordinate with TSA/FSD personnel and airport stakeholders on daily requirements.
• Lead the implementation of new or revised TSA screening procedures and directives.
• Identify risks, performance gaps, and workforce issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support incident response and surge staffing as needed.
• Develop frontline supervisors while reinforcing accountability, professionalism, security, and customer service.
• Use data to drive continuous improvement.
