Job summary

Hudson Group at Pittsburgh International Airport is seeking a Retail Shift Manager to support location operations, staff supervision, and customer experience excellence. You will coach associates, manage merchandising, and ensure planogram compliance while maintaining safety and operational standards across shifts.

Applicants should have retail and supervisory experience, strong cash handling skills, and familiarity with POS systems.

Qualifications

2+ years of retail or customer service experience.
At least 6 months of supervisory or lead experience in retail.
Book retail experience or active reading interest preferred.
Experience with POS and retail management software.
Ability to coach and guide associates; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

Execute SOPs during shifts, ensure compliance with brand standards, and coach staff.
Ensure merchandise displays are clean, stocked, and appealing; report maintenance needs.
Review timekeeping and monitor overtime to stay within labor budgets.
Assign tasks and ensure breaks per labor regulations.
Escalate performance concerns and provide coaching as needed.
Operate POS, process transactions, and maintain cash security.
Monitor inventory, assist with receiving, report discrepancies.
Ensure adherence to retail policies and train staff on standards.
Execute planogram changes and manage seasonal displays.
Deliver excellent customer service and create engaging book displays.
Coach on product knowledge and customer engagement.
