Job summary

Hudson Group is seeking a Retail Shift Manager at Chicago Midway International Airport to support location management in delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will ensure operational readiness, staff scheduling, and adherence to high standards while coaching team members and maintaining brand guidelines.

The role is non-exempt under FLSA with shifts including opening, peak periods, and closing. Prior retail supervisory experience and knowledge of POS systems are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Requires minimum 6 months of supervisory or lead experience in retail, specialty retail, or customer service environment.
• Book retail experience or active reading interest preferred.
• Knowledge of POS systems and retail management software.
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute SOPs during shifts, coach associates, and ensure brand standards; document deviations.
• Keep displays clean and stocked; monitor equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Review timekeeping and manage overtime to meet labor laws and budgets.
• Assign tasks to associates and ensure breaks comply with regulations.
• Operate POS systems and process transactions while following cash handling policies.
• Train staff on brand standards and visual merchandising; monitor planograms.
